About Us

The Unveiling Africa Foundation is a not for profit organization that was established by students from the University of Alberta in 2006. The foundation’s scope and mandate is two fold: on the continent of Africa and in Canada. Our main mandate in Canada is to promote education, debate and dialogue around global issues and topics that concern Africa while also providing tools and resources for individuals in the Diaspora to transform knowledge into action on the ground. We are also focused on fostering multiculturalism and intercultural learning in Canada through cultural symposiums and exhibitions. On the African continent, we work towards providing and creating access to quality and comprehensive education for African teenagers. Secondarily, we are interested in empowering disenchanted individuals especially African youths through self – employment and micro-loan programs.
